Primises is good, staff is good, food is not upto the mark, other services was good room was hygined and clean, associates were nice and well behaved as Vandana, Sweta and Pooja. I will recommend this hotel to my friends

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone,such a bad hotel in courtesy and service to customers. Mr. John who looks after reservation at the Sun Park Hotel, was an arrogant and rude person who clearly says he is interested only in getting the booking and he does not care for any customer service. When you contact the hotel for booking, Mr. John does not do the booking directly (even when rooms are vacant and available), but asks you to book only through MakeMyTrip or goibibo, because he gets commission for that. When we book through MakeMyTrip etc., the conditions say that from the booking time itself, till the occupation of the room, 100% penalty applies. This is a very crude rule. That means, you will not get a single paise refund, eventhough you canel the booking, well ahead of your stay, due to some genuine medical reasons. This happened in my case too. Owing to the urgent medical necessity for my father aged 89 years (who has heart and renal problems, and who was admitted to hospital for 8 days and subsequently had problems), I could not make the visit to Pondy and requested Mr. John, ahead of the visit, for cancellation. He curtly told me to contact MakeMyTrip only. When I contacted them, they wanted the medical records of my father and ID proof of my relationship with my father. I scanned all the medical records and the ID and sent to them. In between, I spoke with Mr. John and MakeMyTrip people also, and sent everyone mails too. In spite of all my efforts, Mr. John declined it and refused to refund any amount. This way, they have swallowed the entire booking money. By denying the Cancellations only everyday, they get sizable amount. When I contacted them over phone again, he was arrogantly replying without any courtesy and even challenged me to go anywhere, even to court and I will not get any single paise. He also said he knows how to reply to bad reviews. Anyhow I am writing this, so that others will take caution while booking with this hotel. Is this the way the hotel person should talk to a customer? Now I really wish to proceed against the hotel legally and take up with Tourism Ministry. There would surely be many affected people like me. They should also take up against the hotel, so that the hotel learns the lesson. I am sure this John will bring down the name of the hotel eventually. Overall a very very bad experience with this hotel.

(1) very dirty and small hotel (2) staff very rude and not very cooperative (3) rooms are not cozy, found dirt on furniture (4) FAN and AC's were not working, another (after changing the room) room also has the same issues. when I enter the room every time I need to call reception, to start the AC. (5) Intercom tripped many times. I need to walk into the reception at 11 PM to make a complaint about AC. (6) Blankets were tore and smelly. (7) Hotel not provided sufficient towels. (8) charging heavily for only extra mattress. This hight cost does not have a coat.

One of the worst oyo room I ever stayed. The hotel staff is unfriendly, the rooms are very small and stinky. The staff is so rude and unfriendly. We asked complementary breakfast and waterbottles for two days (since we booked for two days) but the staff said no. The complimentary breakfast is not at all good. Its a waste of money and you will loose your mind if you stay in this hotel. Early check in charged 700 rupees :@ There were bed bugs as well

Family friendly, comfortable stay in French Colony. At walking distance to all major tourist destination in Pondicherry. very close to Pondi's best shopping street. Friendly and hospitable staff. Has ample parking pace.
